Join Thinking Forward’s dynamic, growing team of volunteers and use your skills to make a unique contribution to your community. Volunteers play a significant component in our organization from helping to run school programs to participating in special events. Whatever the task, we could not do this without the support and generosity of our amazing volunteers! There are many fun and exciting ways to get involved so feel free to email us if you are interested in doing something meaningful and that will leave a lasting impact. If you are unable to come out to help, don’t worry! There are other ways to be a part of team, which include offering your professional services to donating to our wish list. Please know your help is valued and contributing to the overall mission of Thinking Forward. We have these volunteer positions available: Social Media Coordinator and Program Facilitator.
Thinking Forward’s FIFTEENX15 campaign aims to expand our anti-bullying character education programs to 15 different inner-city schools within the Toronto District School Board by the end of 2015. The campaign encompasses a variety of events and initiatives that will allow Thinking Forward to achieve our goal of reaching out to 1000 children and youth, and inspiring them to make a positive impact in their communities.
THIRD PARTY EVENTS
Get creative and host your own event at your work place, in your community or with your friends and make Thinking Forward the recipient of donations collected! This is also a great opportunity to bring more awareness to our organization and the needs in your community. If you’re stuck for ideas, we would be more than happy to give you some! Some ideas from our donors have included a fundraising dinner, Oscar Party, birthday challenge, concerts and so forth. A representative of Thinking Forward can also be in attendance to share about where proceeds from your event will go. In addition, we can supply brochures and other information for your guests.
It would be a dream come true for Thinking Forward to have its own space where we can store our program materials, host our youth programs regularly, as well as providing a central spot for meetings and small events. If you wish to contribute to our Wish List fund, please visit our DONATE page.
Check back often as we will post opportunities when they become available.
